It's About Time

                                                                                                                                                                        Martin Argles/The Guardian
About 70 countries observe daylight saving time. Most countries around the equator do not, as there is little variation in daylight across the year.
Most Islamic countries do not use daylight saving time as during Ramadan it can mean that the evening dinner is delayed till later in the day. Morocco suspends DST during the fast. Iran utilises DST, with no discontinuation for Ramadan. Most of east Asia and Africa does not use daylight saving time.
This year the European parliament voted to scrap daylight saving time by 2021. If ratified, it could throw up yet another Brexit-related headache.  --- The Guardian
In the US, we (most of us) moved from daylight savings time to standard time last night.  Fortunately in our wired world, our clocks are smart enough to make the change for us, but imagine if you had 120,000 analog clocks to change?  Sometimes mistakes occur.
As part of the practice of changing the clocks twice a year — from summer to winter time and vice versa — clocks were put back an hour in the early hours of Sunday. From then on, winter time applied again in European countries.

German train operator Deutsche Bahn, however, forgot to change the settings in a number of its clocks at the central train station in the southern city of Munich.
