Snow In Hawaii – More Proof That Climate Change is a Hoax

Considering that a U.S. Senator displayed a snowball in the Senate last year as “proof” of the great climate change hoax, it would be no surprise to hear that this week’s snowfall on Mauna Kea is more “proof” of this monumental hoax.  That this U.S. Senator is also a major recipient of contributions from oil and gas companies is not so much of a surprise.  But, to be honest, neither is a dusting of snow on a 13,796 foot (4205 meters) mountain, it’s actually pretty routine.

Residents of Hawaii’s Big Island woke on Tuesday to find the summit of Mauna Kea volcano dusted with a fresh layer of summer snow. Considered both the world’s tallest volcano and its tallest mountain (when measured from the ocean floor),
Mauna Kea occasionally sees snow. But a storm in mid-June is relatively bizarre. The National Weather Service in Honolulu said the dusting resulted from a combination of passing precipitation and “cold upper level temperatures.”

On the other hand, climate change is having a profound real impact on overall temperatures in the American Southwest.  It appears that the only hoax around climate change is the U.S. Senator whose denial has more to do with his corporate paymasters than his country (or the world for that matter).

Circled cities forecasting record heat on June 20

An unusually severe heat wave is projected to roast the Southwest beginning late this week and lasting into next. At the peak of the heat, Phoenix may come close to its all-time record high temperature of 122 degrees Fahrenheit, with extraordinary heat in Las Vegas and Death Valley, California as well.
The increasingly imbalanced ratio of record highs to lows is an indicator of how climate change is altering the weather in favor of more warm extremes across the country. This trend is likely to continue, and even grow worse, if emissions of greenhouse gases from burning fossil fuels continue apace.

Americans should be embarrassed to be represented by buffoons in Congress.  Of course we have a presidential candidate that makes the same claim.  Ignorance needs company apparently.
