For years, Nestlé Waters North has been trying to secure the rights to bottle water from Oregon’s Oxbow Springs in Hood River County, planning to build a bottled water facility at the Port of Cascade Locks.Let's hope this victory will empower more community action to take back natures water for our communities and stop the practice of privatizing our water supply for sale by the bottle. However, is is unlikely that the will of the people in Oregon is going to stop Nestlé from continuing to try to gain control of this water.
